The North West Hosuing Partnership (NWHP) both creates and preserves affordable quality diverse housing for low to moderate income residents through renovation, senior assistance, and housing related educational programs. These programs include home rehabilitation, handyman for seniors, and aging in place programs. Briggs Financial has provided free financial education seminars and books about personal finance for the FHA First-Time Homebuyer Program for eight years. Veteran financial planner Shawn Block is a director on the organization’s board.

Extra Life is a non-profit that since 2008 has raised over $100 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, helping fund critical life-saving treatments, research, pediatric medical equipment, and support services for families. Collaborating with an existing team founded by Tom and Kari Davis, Briggs Financial has sponsored the Extra Life team “The Owlchemists” for four years, raising $12,000 to help heal sick kids and families in need.

FreeWorld is a tech nonprofit that gets formerly incarcerated people into high-wage jobs. They provide services that help people with criminal histories get access to resouces needed to provide personal stability and community to be supported and find long-term success outside of prison. These efforts actively attack both poverty and recidivism. Briggs Financial is partnered in providing tax preparation and financial consultation services to participants of the FreeWorld program.
